DeJuana is the founder of Woke Vote and a partner at the consulting firm ThinkRubix. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she has worked as a community activist and political strategist for more than fifteen years. She previously served as the National African American Engagement Director for the Democratic National Committee and as a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of the Obama administration.
Ify is an activist, artist, attorney, and partner at ThinkRubix. She is the former Deputy Executive Director of New York City’s Young Men’s Initiative and Senior Policy Advocate at the Innocence Project. She also worked on Capitol Hill and is the co-creator of Black and Brown People Vote. Ify teaches at Lehman College in New York City, and she is currently running to be NYC’s next Public Advocate.
Tristan is Managing Partner of ThinkRubix, based in Washington, D.C. As a political organizer and policy professional, he has advised nonprofits, congressional and presidential candidates, and major PACs. He served as a staff person and aide to Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and helped to organize the Congressional Caucus on Boys and Men of Color.
Deanna is a Regional Coordinator for Woke Vote, leading get-out-the-vote efforts in Alabama in 2017 and Florida in 2018. A lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, she previously worked as the marketing and promotions director for two radio stations there and as an event manager and program coordinator. Deanna ran for Birmingham City Council in 2017.
David is a Campaigns Associate with Woke Vote, leading efforts in his home state of North Carolina. He previously worked for the North Carolina Democratic Party and led field operations for a mayoral campaign in Durham. David is a graduate of UNC Charlotte, where he majored in Political Science, History, and Africana Studies.
